on the edge - leggings # 3 :)

So as I mentioned before I really like to pair hard and soft but sometimes there is an item that calls to you to go all out in one direction. These leggings are exactly that item.

Leather with sheer cut outs running all the way up the leg - can we say sexy?!? ....say it slower...seeeexxxyyyyy! Of course we dont want quite that much showing  - no crop tops with these ones ladies! This skull print top from ASOS is the perfect tough bite to match with these fierce leggings. I am loving the shard necklace, also from ASOS.

on the edge
Despite this being one tough outfit I do always at least like to add a drop of color or femininity. which is why I've chosen the sandals and purse in bold black stripes with a pop of hot hot pink. I love how the pink is carried down to the sole and even the heel tip on the sandals and the bow on the bag is just adorable. With an outfit like this there's no doubt you're one fierce powerful femme fatal.

light lovely spring - Leggings installment 2

I really love hard and soft mixed together when they are done right. I always feel that every outfit needs contrast. If there is a high hem the neckline should be modest, if there is a loud print it should be paired with a solid and if there is a super hard edge there needs to be something to soften it and vice versa. Today's collection is a combination of light feminine romantic garments balanced with hard edgy accessories.

light lovely spring
I started with a "base" of floral print leggings from World of Leggings. I really was drawn to the bright floral but with the fairly busy pattern I knew I wanted to pair it with something more understated and calm. The powder pink empire waist dress is from ASOS. I adore the combination of light barely there pink and black sexy lace. Leggings always look great under a frothy gauzy skirt like the one on this dress. For accessories I found this adorable bow at ASOS. I <3 spikes and studs! The black feather earrings made me think of ravens and dark romance. I matched the nude pumps to the pink of the dress and bow to maintain a head to toe cohesion. Finally I added in the vintage clutch with beautiful print to mimic the lace on the dress.

galaxy leggings!

I want to first apologize for my long absence. To those who follow me, thank you for your patience.

And now on to the fun stuff!

I LOVE spring! It has always been my favorite season but with the weather shifting so often it can be hard to decide what to wear. Skirts and dresses are so fun and after a long winter it can be freeing to get out of those jeans or slacks and into a fun flirty dress. But when the wind kicks up who wants to be wearing a skirt? Even without the wind the chill can get to your legs. This is why I LOVE leggings. Not only to they protect your legs - and modesty! - but they are a blank canvas for fun designs. Leggings are here and bright bold patterns and prints are what's hot! So have fun! In this and my next few posts i've highlighted some of my favorite trends in leggings.

galaxy leggings!

In this collection I've highlighted galaxy print leggings. The galaxy print can be found everywhere and on everything right now but I really adore it on these leggings from World of Leggings. I really like the colors in this particular print. I paired it with a sequin top by ASOS that really reminds me of a starry sky. I stuck with simplicity when it came to shoes to avoid any clashing with the already busy galaxy print. They are black Michael Kors sandals that have a hint of edge with the exposed zipper down the front. There is a pop of color in the color blocked Fendi bag that is echoed from the print on the leggings. I really love this color and this look!  You can pick up the sequin cold shoulder top for $75 and the Leggings are just $39! The shoes are $150, a bit of a guilty pleasure but so cute! And the bag, well the bag is a luxury indulgence at $2635.
